State and local representatives came to honor the Summit Volunteer First Aid Squad for their participation as First Responders on September 11th. The dignitaries officially presented an artifact piece of steel from the World Trade Center in honor of the squad's assistance and to the memory of lost squad member, Ian Thompson. During the dedication, Lieutenant Governor Kim Guadagno enlisted the participation of eight year old Amanda Brown. Amanda is the daughter of two squad members, Steven and Beverly Brown.
