DESCRIPTION:Members of the Summit First Aid Squad will join the Summit Police Department and various other public safety agencies at Summit’s annual National Night Out Against Crime  rescheduled for Tuesday\, August 20\, 20243 from 6PM to 9PM at the Village Green. \nNational Night Out is a community-building event that takes place annually on the first Tuesday in August. Featuring a variety of municipal\, county\, state\, and federal-level agencies\, National Night Out provides a chance for community members to view displays and demonstrations by Union County SWAT\, NJ State Police and K-9 along with Summit Police\, Summit Fire Department\, Summit Volunteer First Aid Squad\, and the Division of Public Works. \nThe event will feature displays and demonstrations from various federal\, state\, and county law enforcement agencies along with our own Summit Police\, Fire\, First Aid Squad\, and Division of Public Works. \nFood trucks\, bounce houses\, and dunk a cop for a cause will open at 6PM\, followed by the annual Blessing of the Badges at 7PM. Brian Kirk and the Jirks will perform a concert at 7:15PM on the main stage on the Village Green. Free hot dogs will be provided at the Summit PAL food cart. All funds raised at the dunk tank\, featuring Summit police officers and firefighters\, will be donated to a local child in need. \nSummit’s 2024 National Night Out is sponsored by the Summit Police Athletic League\, Overlook Medical Center\, and the Price Group.
